July 7, 2009 - Updates!!!

I did an update to the "Shows" section, adding to the list of past shows to our resume (if you will).

We just did a couple of shows in Calgary, and Edmonton, with (labelmate) iVardensphere, Sangsara, and Mannequin Depressives. Very nice, and cool people in all those bands! We also met some other lovely people in both cities, whom entertained us, and showed us the sights! YAYZ0RZ!

ALSO! After almost a year, The Rabid Whole is happy to announce that the music video for "All The Same" is FINISHED! We are holding a release party for the video at one of The Queen City's very fine performance/social establishments, The Exchange. The link to the Facebook event is here. Have some drinks with the band!

While you're at it, join the "The Rabid Whole" (grammatically I can do that) Facebook group here.

We also have tour dates brewing for August/September, with labelmates Urceus Exit. LOOKOUT Ontario/Quebec!.......and Alberta, and Saskatchewan..........and Manitoba!

March 10, 2009 - End Of An Era, and The Beginning Of A New Chapter

A staple in the The Rabid Whole's success, James McKenzie, is no longer our drummer. The awesome week with Left Spine Down, and Forget Me Knots, has been an excellent send off to a great era. His contributions, aside from playing drums, include creating/managing this site, and creating visuals for our live show. He will be greatly missed.

Everyone, say 'hello' to our new drummer Alex Ready. You can see his handsome mug in the 'Bio'.

February 24th, 2009 - New Tracks!

We just replaced our tracks on myspace with the newer, re-mastered versions from the re-release of our album, Autraumaton, which is due out on March 3th!  We only have 4 more days until we hit the road for our short visit out west and are really looking forward to getting out of the province.  We have been working extremely hard in improving our live shows to give our audiences the best experience possible and we are hopeful that our hard work will pay off.  Thanks everyone, and stay tuned!

January 25th, 2009 - Spring Tour Details

The Rabid Whole will be joining Left Spine Down on part of their Canadian Tour.  On February 27th, 2009, TRW will be heading out to Calgary to play a show, and then will be joining LSD, the Forget-Me-Knots, and Noize-Tribe-Zero, for a CD Release Party at the Media Club, in Vancouver.  On the way home, they will be hitting up Invermere, Nelson, and Saskatoon, then lastly, a quick trip out to Winnipeg and back in March.  Check out the tour dates on our home page.

January 15th, 2009 - New Drummer

TRW is happy to welcome Alex Ready into the fold. Alex is a drum instructor in Regina and used to perform in an improv house band, The Revolving Doors, with keyboardist Sheenah Ko.  Unfortunately, James McKenzie has decided to take a step out of the band for health reasons, so as not to deter our future progress.  James has been an integral member of the band since the beginning - his talents in not only drumming, but also the visual elements he contributed to in the design of all of TRW's live visuals, as well as TheRabidWhole.com, have been incredible contributions to TRW and great attributors to our success.  James has been busy training Alex for the upcoming hectic schedule of performing, and we are really happy to see how quickly Alex has been taking on the demanding role.  James will be joining us on our short stint to Vancouver and back, but unfortunately, these will be his last shows.  Please join us in thanking James for his incredible work in TRW and we wish him the best of luck for the future.

November 7th, 2008 - Spring Tour

Thanks to everyone who came out last night for our fundraiser show! If you've not heard, we're now working with Vancouver's Synthetic Records. We'll be touring late February '09 with Left Spine Down and other bands. The money we raised will help ensure we don't break the bank.

October 26th, 2008 - TRW Signs with Synthetic Entertainment

The Rabid Whole signed with Synthetic Entertainment yesterday, a Vancouver-based label (SNFU, Left Spine Down).  Synthetic Entertainment will be managing and booking the band, and will be re-releasing their album, Autraumaton, under the Synthetic Sounds label.  The album is being revisited for touch-ups by Karl Schubach (Misery Signals), who recorded and produced the original version, and remastered by Shaun Thingvold (Skinny Puppy/Strapping Young Lad/k-os), the album will be set for Canadian and US distribution.

The Rabid Whole are happy to be part of the Synthetic family and are ready to release their music to the world!

October 14th, 2008 - Tour Fundraiser

It's been pretty quiet for a while, but our video is nearing completion. Come out and see October Sky (from Montreal) play the Club on October 20th, and then check us out at the Owl for our video fundraiser. Steak dinner and a full show for $20. This will be our last Regina show for a while, so come get your face rocked!

August 25th, 2008 - Music Video Progress

Something incredible happened yesterday. The All the Same video has been filmed. Our thanks to all hundred or so people involved. We'll have a release party when post-production is done.

July 2nd, 2008 - Canada Day Show

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Canada Day show. Despite blasting geriatrics out of the park and pressures from organizers to wrap things up prematurely, we responded to the crowd’s chants for an encore with All the Same.

June 26th, 2008 - Progress Update

Here’s some exciting news: we’ve enlisted a director to film a music video for All the Same later this summer. Stay tuned…

Here’s quick summary of everything else that’s been happening with The Rabid Whole over the last few months:

June 21: Evidence of the Fall hit the airwaves today. Thanks again to the Wolf for the support.

June 19: Regina’s rock station, The Wolf 104.9 aired our first Single, All the Same, to promote our Canada Day show in Wascana Park. We’re stoked for the exposure and hope everyone liked what they heard…

June 6: Played a show with Ghosts of Modern Man - Ghosts put on a deadly show and lots of new people were introduced to our stuff and gave us great feedback. We introduced our new T-Shirts as well – you can check out the shirt in our Store.

May 30: Evidence of the Fall plays in Quebec on Radio Propagande.

May 23: Played the Cathedral Arts Festival – we introduced our light and video show to a packed venue.
